Sure To
Grow®
products fulfill the highest standards available on the market today
and benefit both our customers and the environment. Sure To Grow®
products are designed to benefit growers and users by using a unique
substrate and a technology designed for the 21st century.
Sure To Grow®
is lighter, cleaner, and much less bulky than any other medium
currently on the market. You will find that with Sure To
Grow®,
less is truly more.
STG can be produced from fibers made from renewable resources
that are in-soil degradable or that can be cleanly burned.
STG is a highly versatile product as a growth medium. STG products
are available in unique pad and mat forms not currently available in
Rockwool, Coir, or Oasis. They are also made in standard grow cubes,
blocks, and slabs. In addition, Sure To Grow®
can be used together with other media. Industry trials with our
products have indicated several value-added properties: quicker and
cleaner installation and removal of medium; decreased germination
time; easier harvesting; and seamless use with current grow systems.

We offer a comprehensive line of products to meet your specific
needs:

The STG Grow Mat is a unique grow system for growers who use grow
tables, troughs or gutters. The first generation and current STG Mat
was designed by commercial growers who use 26 foot long, four bay
trough tables. All of these growers were using 100% perlite or peat
perlite mixes. The immediate impact was on labor, as it took only
minutes to roll out an STG Mat as opposed to pouring heavy, dusty,
messy bags of Perlite or soil. Clean up saw similar positive
efficiencies, as it only takes minutes to roll up an STG Mat, with
no residual clean up needed outside of a quick table wash down. And
because an STG Mat will wet instantaneously growers can seed and
begin germinating immediately.
This unique method of replacing the media for each new
planting also impacted growers who were troubled by root
diseases like Pythium. As any grower will attest, once Pythium
gets into the media, it is very difficult to get rid of. Because
each new STG Mat is sterile and hygienic it does not allow for
cross contamination and spreading of disease which in turns
creates a much more hygienic and sterile environment in any type
grower facility.
The STG Mat can be easily cut to fit any type gutter system. We
can also custom cut sizes to fit any grow system with a
reasonable contract requirement. This sytem was designed,
trialed and approved by dozens of commercial gutter and trough
growers around the United States

Suitable for the following
crops: tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, and other transplants.
STG Grow Cubes are designed as starter cubes for seed and
cutting propagation. They can be used directly into NFT trough
or float systems or can be transplanted to either soil or
soilless media, as well as into the STG Grow Block for larger
plants. The cubes are open celled, water absorbing forms that
promote rapid root formation. They are free of pathogenic
organisms and require no pretreatment or further sterilization.
The physical format of the STG Grow Cubes anchors the plant and
provides capillary action for efficient water feeding.

Suitable for the following crops: cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers,
herbs. Use for starter cube transplants or for direct seeding.
STG Grow Blocks are superior to Rockwool Blocks. They are
lighter, and wet instantaneously with enhanced root growth. They
do not break or fall apart and there is no dust and no mess.
They are also free of pathogenic organisms and require no
pretreatment or further sterilization. STG Grow Blocks are
designed to accept plants grown in commonly used propagation
starter cubes or STG Grow Cubes that have already rooted or
sprouted. When the roots in the Grow Cubes are exposed, they are
ready to be transplanted into the larger STG Grow Blocks.
Depending upon the plant that is being grown, the growth cycle
can be completed in the Block or may be further transplanted
into the STG Grow Slab.

Suitable for the following crops: tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers,
herbs and baby greens.
STG Grow Slabs offer a revolutionary design and approach to
vegetable growing. Unlike Rockwool and Coir slabs, STG Grow
Slabs have been proven to work as well or better at only 1/2 to
1/3 the thickness with greatly enhanced root mass. Each Grow
Slab is available in a UV resistant agricultural polyethylene
sleeve to enhance growth. They are free of pathogenic organisms
and require no pretreatment or further sterilization. The STG
Grow Slab is designed to continue the plant growth cycle
achieved in the STG Grow Blocks for those crops that have large
root masses, such as cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes, or direct
placement of STG grow cubes.
